나는 중학생 시절 비오는 소풍날 강당에 모인 수많은 학생들 앞에서, 안개꽃 추억으로를 리코더로 분 적이 있었다.
1980년대 작곡가 이영훈은 클래식 분위기를 가요에 도입하여 한국 대중 음악의 고급화를 이끌어 내었고, 가수 이문세는 그 수혜자가 되었다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 위 두 곡에서 우리는 요즘 시대 잊혀져 가는 섬세한 감정 묘사와 진한 선율의 감동을 느낄 수 있다. 세계가 주목해야 할 K-Pop의 진정한 향기란 이런 것이리라.
