1980년대초 한국의 상황은 군부쿠데타와 민주주의 실현을 위한 열망등이 뒤섞여 어수선하였다. 또한 그로인한 시위 등의 사회문제도 없지 않았다. 현재 입장에선 아픈만큼 성숙해짐을 느끼며,그 시절이 아득한 옛날처럼 느껴지나, 당시 대인기를 누렸던 본 곡은 그 당시 지성인들의 참 민주주의 실현을 위한 희망을 잘 담아낸 것 같다.

In the early 1980s, the societal situation in S.Korea was rather disorganized due to some coup and aspiration to achieve the real democracy of this country. Now I feel that maturity comes from pain, and those times are faraway from the present days. But this song very popular in those days seem to contain the hope of the intellectual people to make the real democracy of S.Korea come true.
